Discrimination & Sexual Harassment

There are many areas in which you may feel that you have experienced discrimination or sexual harassment:

  • In the workplace, while you are/were currently employed or when you were searching for a job
  • When  looking for accommodations or a place to live
  • In seeking to conclude or enter contracts
  • In seeking to procure goods and services

You have the right to equal treatment with respect to services, goods and facilities, employment, and housing without discrimination because of race, ancestry, place of origin, colour, ethnic origin, citizenship, creed, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, age, marital status, family status or disability.

Shell Lawyers has demonstrated experience in all matters before Human Rights Commissions and Human Rights Tribunals, both provincially and federally.

If you feel that you have been discriminated against or harassed, you may have the right to register a formal complaint. We can help you

Sexual Harassment

Independent legal advice may be required if you or a person you know was a victim of sexual harassment in the workplace, or anywhere.

Unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favours, and other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature, are inexcusable in the workplace, or anywhere.

Shell Lawyers offers our experience and sensitivity in dealing with matters arising from sexual harassment. While nothing truly compensates for any assault on human dignity, Shell Lawyers will work tirelessly to ensure you receive all compensation you are entitled to by law.
